Kitsap Public Health HISTORY
For more than 75 years, Kitsap Public Health District has worked to prevent disease and promote and protect the health of all people in Kitsap County.
Our Health District was formed in 1947 when Kitsap County and the City of Bremerton pooled resources to meet the needs of a booming, post-war population. In the decades since, Kitsap Public Health has confronted emerging health risks, while building partnerships and championing initiatives that help Kitsap residents thrive. We are proud to continue this legacy of service.
