KITSAP PUBLIC HEALTH VACCINATION CLINICS FOR AGES 5-11

Feb. 4 CLINIC:Kitsap Public Health is offering a clinic for children ages 5-11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m., Feb. 4 in Bremerton. Appointments are encouraged by not required. Book an appointment at kphd.timetap.com. See our clinic calendar for full clinic details.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:

Parents or guardians must sign a consent form for children to receive the vaccine.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
For safety, staff at our clinic will not help restrain children experiencing anxiety during vaccination. If you think your child may need to be restrained, please contact your regular healthcare provider.
Our vaccine clinic will only administer vaccine in an arm. If your child needs the vaccine administered in a different muscle, please contact your regular healthcare provider.
Our clinic cannot guarantee privacy for vaccination at this site. Most patients are vaccinated in a large room with multiple vaccination stations (see photo).

VACCINATION INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-11

The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is now authorized and recommended for children ages 5-11.

Expert panels convened by the FDA, CDC, and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup all recommended the vaccine as safe and effective for children in this age group based on evidence from clinical trials. The FDA and Washington State Department of Health have authorized healthcare providers to begin vaccinating children ages 5-11.
