What We Do


Our team helps prepare our agency and our community to respond and recover from public health threats and emergencies.


Kitsap Public Health District:

  • Identifies public health threats and ways to reduce health risks.

  • Develops, tests, and updates public health emergency response plans.

  • Collaborates with local, regional, and state partners on emergency planning and response. Partner agencies include Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management, Suquamish Tribe, Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, local healthcare providers, local first responders, and other nongovernmental organizations.

  • Builds relationships with our community and provides information on how to stay safe and healthy during hazards and emergencies.

  • Provides local health care providers with urgent health information, treatment guidelines, and access to vaccinations and medications.
