Water pollution Identification & correction

Clean air, land and water. Safe food. Elements in your daily surroundings can affect your health and well-being in big ways. Our goal is to improve people’s health by preventing pollution, reducing exposure to environmental hazards, and practicing sound sanitation.

We strive to accomplish this goal by identifying and correcting sources of pollution or disease, responding to unhealthy or unsafe conditions and advising people about them, and through development and enforcement of public health rules addressing water, food safety, sewage, and garbage.

Our environmental health specialists are professionals with education, training, and experience in the sciences including chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology, and environmental health.
