BLACK INFANT THRIVE
Black Infant Thrive is a new program dedicated to supporting Black mothers and birthing families. This program will focus on reducing the impacts of societal, structural racism and promoting healthy child development.
We want to hear from you!
Kitsap Public Health District is surveying Black/African American families about their experiences with maternal health services in Kitsap County. Responses will help guide development of the Black Infant Thrive Program.
The first 60 participants will receive a gift card for their time. There are two options to participate:
- Online survey ($30 Kroger gift card)
- In-person, Zoom, or phone interview ($45 Kroger gift card; participation limited)
Our work will include:
- Supporting access to quality prenatal and postnatal care
- Increasing parent support and education
- Reducing systemic factors contributing to health disparities
We are gathering community input to guide the build-out of Black Infant Thrive. If you have suggestions or questions, or would like to partner with us, please email gabreiel.outlaw-spencer@kitsappublichealth.org
