What to expect
Arrival
When you arrive at a Mama Moves Kitsap walk, look for a large blue flag. You will meet our parent-child health experts: Janet Wyatt and Martitha May.
Janet Wyatt is a registered nurse with NICU experience, a Certified Lactation Expert, and an advocate for children and youth with special healthcare needs.
Martitha May is a bilingual (English and Spanish) community health worker with experience in connecting families to resources and supporting people experiencing domestic violence.
Mindfulness moment
Each walk starts with a mindfulness exercise where everyone takes several deep breaths to recognize and honor their work as parents.
Walk
We continue mindfulness as we start our slow and gentle 45-minute walk. There is a lot of time for parents to talk, connect, and ask questions.
Frequently asked questions
