Equal Opportunity

Because Kitsap Public Health District values diversity in the workplace, qualified individuals of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, particularly bilingual persons, are encouraged to apply. Selection Process

First, we evaluate all applications received based on experience, skills, training and education. In most cases we select finalists for skills testing, such as a written exercise and/or computer-based test. We invite top finalists for a panel interview to determine their suitability for the position. We also conduct reference checks for one or more top finalists.

Criminal History

Offers made to successful candidates will be made contingent on results of a criminal background check.

Reasonable Accommodation

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, disability will be considered only in the context of an applicant's ability to perform essential functions of the job and to determine reasonable accommodation. Accommodation to participate in the job application and/or selection process will be made upon request with reasonable notice. The physical demands described in our class specifications are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

If you are offered employment and your position requires the use of an automobile, you will be expected to use your own private vehicle. You must also provide proof of appropriate auto insurance and maintain a current, valid Washington State driver's license.
