SYRINGE EXCHANGE

Sharing used and contaminated needles and syringes is a major way that HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and other bloodborne diseases are spread from person to person. The goal of our Syringe Exchange program is to reduce the spread of disease by:

  • Sharing the importance of one-time-only use of sterile syringes;
  • Offering free sterile syringes in exchange for used syringes; and
  • Offering safe disposal of used syringes.

Along with sterile syringes, we also offer our clients health services and access to prevention counseling.

EXCHANGING SYRINGES

Syringe exchange is anonymous. Syringes are exchanged one-for-one. We also provide biohazard containers, which can be returned when full. Ask us about other free supplies.
